NGUYEN WAITS ON HALL OF FAME
The parameters for the introduction into the 2010 class of the Poker Hall of Fame were announced this week, with a big change coming in the voting requirements for induction.
Starting this year, the top two in voting will earn entrance to the Hall if they receive a simple majority, eliminating the 75 percent requirement that was previously used.
This change in voting represents a significant shift in approach for the Hall of Fame.
Among those turned away were Barry Greenstein, Dan Harrington, Phil Ivey, Tom McEvoy, Men Nguyen, Scotty Nguyen, Daniel Negreanu, and Erik Seidel.
Other than the change in voting requirements, this years balloting will be basically the same as last year’s vote.
