NGUYEN STILL RUNNING FOR AWARD
Men Nguyen is still in the running for winning the player of the year award. The 2010 WSOP produced record-breaking fields and prize pools, not to mention some big name winners and compelling storylines. The first week of WSOP action was all-Mizrachi, all the time as both Robert and Michael made numerous WSOP final tables and became early frontrunners for WSOP Player of the Year honors.
The Player of the Year race was a tight one this year with players like Jeff Papola, James Dempsey, Men Nguyen, and John Juanda all in the running, but Frank Kassela pulled to the front of the pack when he became the only player of 2010 to pick up two WSOP bracelets. If that weren’t enough, Kassela final tabled the prestigious inaugural $25,000 buy-in Six-handed No Limit Hold’em event.
